Tanasi Trail System

Location: The trails are located in the Cherokee National Forest, close to Ducktown, Tennessee (southeast corner of the state).

Distance: Multiple trails add up to 30 miles.

This is a really fun place to ride. When we first arrived, we parked at the Ocoee Whitewater Center and rode the trails in the northern part of the trail system. Then we went down to the Boyd Gap overlook and rode the Brush Creek trail. I don't know how the trail builders did it, but Brush Creek is wicked fast going out and coming back. It really seems like you are going predominantly down hill both ways.

The Ocoee River was the site for the whitewater kayaking events for the Atlanta Olympics in 1996.
