Lost Valley TrailLocation: Off of Highway 94 south of 40 in St. Charles County. Distance: 8 miles per lap. Much thanks goes out to the fine men and women of GORC for all of the hard work they did on this trail. In my opinion, Lost Vallet went from some place that I'd drive out to when I was tired of the St. Louis County trails. These days, Lost Valley is worth driving out for on its own merit. Plus, the park is open until 10:00. A great ride is to park at the main lot, do a lap at dusk, head back to the car for a snack, put your lights on, and then do a lap at night. Mucho fun! Lost Valley -- which is just off the Katy Trail -- could be strung together with Klondike and Matson Hill for a very satisfying ride. |
